Over-the-collar designs for comfort and convenience.I use first quality cotton and polyester/cotton blend fabrics and state-of-the-art equipment - my bandanas are individually handcrafted using three layers of fabric (top print fabric, inner-lining, and a solid color reverse fabric with coordinating paw print), with serged rolled edges for a finished appearance. Unless otherwise noted, my bandanas are machine-washable (MW-Warm-Tumble Dry Low Heat - fabric softener recommended). Please refer to the size chart when ordering - as a rule of thumb, size Small bandanas fit "one-handers" (petite dogs that can be held in one hand) like Yorkies, mini-dachshunds, etc. Westies, Beagles, Min-Pins, standard doxies, smaller spaniels, etc. usually wear Medium bandanas. Larger spaniels, Bassett Hounds, Retrievers (Lab and Golden) normally get size Large bandanas and the X-Large speaks for itself - if the dog weights over 100 lbs., I definitely recommend the X-Large bandana. Basically it's a matter of preference - one big consideration is to not order an over-sized bandana for a dog with shorter legs (for instance, dachshunds) for safety reasons. The recommended sizes will cover approx. one-half (or slightly more) of the collar and the bandana will lay flat...order the next size up for a slightly ruffled look. Long-haired dogs usually get over-sized bandanas to avoid matting their coats - Shelties wearing size Large bandanas is the primary example. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
